Have you ever been haunted by your past? Held on to the things you did so tight that they crippled you from moving forward. You crawl inch by inch through your life thinking that what happened in your past would come back and disrupt the life you are building. After all you reap what you sow, and you did not always sow what you should have in order to fruitfully reap from your harvest. It is done, it is over, it cannot be undone, let it go and move on from it. Do not let anyone in your life remind you of your faults, because you are not perfect and neither are they. You have wallowed in the depths of your lies and deceit, asking God for his forgiveness of your sins, and he has given you his grace and mercy. What more do you need? It is not for you to keep beating yourself up for something that cannot be changed anymore. If it happened yesterday then you can try and fix your mistakes, but if it happened 10 plus years ago, you have already paid your dues, so let it go.
Do not look in the mirror and condemn yourself, look through the mirror and see the future laid before you that is vibrant and flourishing, because you are no longer held down by the guilt of your past. You are living free and see the blessings of your life. You are ready to step into your destiny and no longer looking back at the pains of your past, but leaping at the joys from your past that have brought you through to the future.
Hold on to the ones you love, life is fragile and can be gone tomorrow, so live for today and forget about tomorrow until it comes.
